Position: Senior Program Assistant
Location: Kinshasa
PATH’s Advocacy and Public Policy (APP) department works to improve global health by increasing awareness and support of global health priorities by policymakers, coalitions, and other influential individuals and groups. The APP Department is seeking a Senior Program assistant based in Kinshasa to support emerging advocacy and policy initiatives in the areas of immunization and child health in Democratic Republic of Congo. This position will report to the Senior Policy and Advocacy Officer in PATH’s Kinshasa, office.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and coordinate the production and distribution of complex documents, including proposals and reports of the APP project
- Draft, edit, format, fact-check, and proofread a variety of documents and enter data using Word, Excel, and other software.
- Assist as necessary in translation of some APP documents in English or French
- Participate in important APP global skype/phone meetings and share notes with all DRC APP staff
- Assist the APP lead to Manage the team meeting calendar and follow up on key action as agreed
- Assist APP senior program staff and team members in Kinshasa with travel arrangements, teleconferences (multiple time zones), and complex schedule coordination.
- Follow up on key APP project tasks as necessary with external partners including the cabinet of the MoH, the EPI, The PNLTHA, …
- Coordinate arrangements for guests, meetings, conferences, workshops, and other events.
- Utilize Microsoft Outlook calendars to coordinate complex scheduling tasks.
- Schedule team meetings and draft agendas and minutes.
- Maintain project records, electronic files, and other resources on behalf of team members.
- Assist with completion of administrative forms, including supply request forms, check requests, and reimbursement forms.
- Collaborate with staff throughout the organization to gather information.
Required Skills
- Excellent formatting, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills. Average level of English preferred

- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with particular skill in Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, proficiency with Adobe Acrobat.
Required experience:
- Bachelor's Degree is required.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of directly related administrative experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Applicants considered for this position are to be DRC nationals. This position is based in Kinshasa.
Candidates outside of Kinshasa will be responsible for their relocation to Kinshasa.
